Role Summary: The Product Manager – High Performance Doors plays a critical role in leading and managing the product portfolio for High Performance Doors. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for product offerings, from strategy and planning to evaluation, commercialization, and life-cycle management, with a focus on achieving commercial success and driving growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Result for Product Portfolio Define and achieve product portfolio targets and results. Drive product portfolio decisions through critical decision forums, such as the product council. Provide leadership and guidance to the organization to ensure the success of the product portfolio. Strategy, Planning, and Management of Product Portfolio Develop a deep understanding of market needs and maintain a comprehensive external view, including market, customer, competitor, and technology perspectives. Set a long-term focus, vision, and plan for the product portfolio through the product strategy and generation plan. Continuously manage the product portfolio and roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, including PPI (Product Portfolio Improvement), NPI (New Product Introduction), CPI (Continuous Product Improvement), and VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering). Optimize the product portfolio throughout its life cycle to reduce complexity and cost, including defining phase-out initiatives and modular platform requirements. Evaluation, Definition, Governance, and Commercialization of New/Improved Products Evaluate new business opportunities for products to generate growth. Define market-driven requirements for new products, including value, cost, positioning, value proposition, and value-based pricing. Develop and own the business case for new products. Set product-level specifications, such as list price, variants, and spare parts. Provide a clear vision, priorities, and direction to the product development team to ensure viable, feasible, and desirable product outcomes. Prepare for the commercial launch and execute launch activities. In-Market Management, Support, and Life-Cycle Management for Products Implement marketing and support programs and activities to drive sales of High Performance Doors. Continuously maintain and improve product marketing materials. Manage the phase-out of products to reduce cost and complexity.

Key Competences:

Product Portfolio Management: Strong skills in managing a product portfolio, from strategy to life-cycle management. Market Insights: Ability to gather and analyze market, customer, competitor, and technology data. Strategic Planning: Expertise in setting long-term product focus, vision, and plan. Product Evaluation: Proficiency in evaluating new business opportunities, setting market-driven requirements, and developing business cases. Product Development Leadership: Ability to provide clear vision and direction to product development teams. Commercialization: Experience in preparing and executing commercial product launches. Marketing and Support: Proficiency in marketing and support programs to drive product sales.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA a plus). Language: English (Critical), Hindi (Critical)

Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and product management software.

Experience:

10-12 years of experience in product management, preferably an experience in High Performance Doors. Strong strategic planning, evaluation, and product development leadership skills. Proven track record in commercializing and managing successful product portfolios. Proficient in marketing and support programs to drive product sales.
