Marine Purchaser

Nautilus Shipping India Pvt Ltd, a leading player in the maritime industry, is looking to hire a Marine Purchaser for its new project. The role involves purchasing marine-related items, equipment, and supplies to ensure smooth operations on board. The Marine Purchaser is responsible for sourcing goods, negotiating rates with suppliers, recording purchases, and maintaining inventory. You will work closely with the engineering and procurement team to ensure the timely delivery of products and services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Source and purchase marine-related items, supplies, and equipment as per the needs of the vessels.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including the procurement and engineering team to understand their requirements.
- Maintain the record of all purchases and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Negotiate rates and ensure ethical practices are followed throughout the procurement process.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels and ensure that stock is replenished as required.
- Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective action as needed.
- Understand various import/export procedures, regulations, and documentation.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Marine/ Naval Architecture or any related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime industry.
- Good understanding of marine equipment and procurement process.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Familiar with import/export regulations and procedures.
