The Purpose of This Role

The Chapter lead will be working in delivery of high quality, timely and maintainable software solutions in an agile environment which meet functional and non-functional business requirements. This role will involve partner & stakeholder engagement, design of the solution and career coaching & mentoring for associate’s career.

Ensure that engineering practices are being followed in each and every SDLC through continuous integration, continuous deployment, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Cloud deployment and support

Keeps current with IT blueprint, frameworks and technologies that would benefit us and improve our productivity; guides junior team members on technology

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders/large cross functional teams as part of work delivery

Follows practices and contribute towards innovative solutions to increase productivity

The Skills that are Key to this role

This is a leadership position requiring significant experience leading large teams, managing demanding stakeholders, complex delivery, testing practices preferably in the asset management domain

Planning and execution: Determine program delivery goals, create roadmap with milestone along with product owner, tracking and forecasting, understand scope and schedule, identify risks and challenges, decision making and prioritization, create release plans, oversee release management process in the team, determine effort and estimate, plan team structure (Site/Size/Skills)

Budgeting/Financial Management: Determine resource allocation, monitor financials – Approved Spend, Budget vs Actual and Variance, track timesheet , Multi Year Planning

Stakeholders Communication /Management: Partner Engagement, Steering Committee, Management Engagement, Business End-user Engagement, External team dependency, Senior Leadership updates, Status Reporting

Engagement: Partner with stakeholders during fusion, review design and get approval, engage business in regular show and tell, User Acceptance Testing , identify future risks by looking at incident trends/metrics, 24/7 availability for escalation, enhance local support for greater response, coordinate and ensure release sign offs, maintain document repository/registry updates, etc.

Technical / Behavioral

You have proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Spring

You have proficiency in Web Services (REST)

You have proficiency in ORM Framework(myBatis/Hibernate)

You have proficiency in Multithreading and Java design patterns

You know SQL proficiency (Oracle experience preferred)

You know Unix and Shell scripting basics

You know Unit Testing

You know Build Technologies

You know Version Control System

You know Agile methodologies or iterative development processes

You should have experience with matured Agile SCRUM practices

You should be familiar with usage of design patterns, threads and their application

You should be working with teams to help them find use case for innovation

You should have the ability to work effectively with both partners and project team members

You have Job Scheduling Technologies

You Build Technologies

You know Agile methodologies or iterative development processes

You know Acceptance test-driven development a plus.

You have Ability to take ownership

You Coach team members and take accountability for the deliverables

Experience in any Java REST webservice knowledge

Experience in any one emerging technology i.e. Cloud, Machine Learning, Robotics or AI
