Importantresponsibilities in this role will include:

• Supportingattorneys in global patent filings and prosecution.

• Updating andmaintaining daily dockets for clients worldwide and following up on patent andtrademark application filings, prosecution, etc. with clients.

• Updating softwaredatabases, formulating and sending emails, and communicating withclients/attorneys over conference calls.

• Preparing PTOdocuments, e.g. Information disclosure statements, patent assignments,declarations, power of attorneys, title amendments worldwide etc.

• Identificationand/or verification of patent family members via PTO registers and commercialdatabases.

• Checkingbibliographic, assignment and priority details from PTO registers, filehistories and assignment databases.

• Evaluation ofpatent portfolio of a target company. 

• Identificationand/or verification of patent family members via PTO registers.

• Proofread patentdocuments and identify errors introduced by patent office and/or by applicant.

• Conductingtrademark pre-filing search in global jurisdictions.

• Conductingperiodic trademark watch/monitoring for infringing trademarks in globaljurisdictions.

• Conductingtrademark portfolio audits and competitive analysis.

• Managing efficientand on-time project delivery with a high standard of quality. 

• Client management.

Skills we’re lookingfor:

• Paralegal andDocketing - IP Admin.

• Knowledge of IPparalegal functions.

• Sound knowledge ofpatent prosecution laws in key jurisdictions i.e., US, EP, PCT, JP, CN etc.

• Knowledge of IPdatabases such as CPI, IP Manager, Anaqua, FoundationIP, Memotech, CPI,Patricia, Orbit etc.

• Ability to ensurethat tasks within areas of responsibility are completed accurately and in atimely manner.

• Ability topractice attentive and active listening skills.

• Ability toidentify proactive ways to contribute to Company’s goals & mission.

• Challengingcurrent thinking by implementing new ways of working.

• Well-versed withMS Office with expertise in MS-Excel.

• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.

•Graduate/Postgraduate with 3+ relevant work experience in the field of Paralegaland Docketing.
