Job Description:

1) Design expertise of Automotive Interior Trims components (Door Trims, Pillar trims, Headliner, Carpet and insulations , Lead the design engineer team and Providing engineering solution during design of Trim components aggregates, engineering feasibility checks.

2) Able to understand overall interior trim design & development process & activities involved at every stages of Program.

3) Good Knowledge of an engineering plastic materials and processes, dimensional management, GD&T.

4) Hands on experience on Product life cycle management system (PLM) -TCE & TCUA.

5) Creating Engineering Concept design, master sections, macro feasibility during styling stage.

6) Good Understanding of DFMEA, CAE reuirements, Mold flow, DVP- Design validations, Testing on Component/ Assembly/ Vehicle level, Plastics injection component Toolings.

7) Domain knowledge of regulatory requirements (minimum ECE, AIS).

8) Good knowledge of Catia V5-3D modeling in surfacing as well as solid.

9) Generating 2D drawings,3D annotation etc.

10) Project delivery related to engineering and design from kick off to implementation including QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, engineering, drawing and model preparation and release, CAE and physical validation support, DFMEA and DVP.

11) Preparation of Bill of Material in Interior trims.

12) Creating master sections of Interior trims parts with interface to meet craftsmanship requirements.

13) Finalising mounting strategy of interior trim parts with interface parts to meet robustness and other performance and Quality targets.

14) 3D modeling in surfacing as well as solid. Generating 2D drawings,3D annotation etc.

15) Release Management in PLM TCUA/TCE/Modular BOM.

16) Particpation / Lead in Design Reviews/ CFT meeting/ DFMEA etc.

17) Co-ordinate with all relevant internal as well as external agencies for design and development throughout the project viz. from project initiations up to post launch support.

18) POST launch engineering support to resolve all manufacturing, Weight, Quality and Cost reduction activities.

19) Participate in the client initiatives like VAVE , weight reducti on and quality improvements and deliver as per given target of cost, quality and weight.

20) Good analytical, logical and interpersonal skills

21) Good Communication skills- Written and Oral
