Title: Credit Manager

Location: Bangalore, India
Role overview:

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Credit/Working Capital Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong financial and Analytical foundation and experience in credit analysis, ideally from the fintech or startup ecosystem. This role demands a professional who is driven to go beyond managing existing processes and is eager to enhance and innovate credit management practices.

 

How you will create impact:

Responsibilities:

Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment: 

  • Analyze large datasets and financials of the companies (Not individuals or HNI) to evaluate creditworthiness and manage risk effectively.  
  • Perform detailed due diligence and connect data points to identify potential risks and opportunities. 

 Post Credit Analysis and Performance Tracking: 

  • Analyze the utilization of credit given to companies 
  • Advise management on better utilization funds and working capital management 
  • Proactively track deviations and provide reports with insights  

Process Improvement: 

  • Take the initiative to identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement innovative solutions. 
  • Bring fresh perspectives and new analyses to improve credit evaluation frameworks. 

Data-Driven Decision Making: 

  • Develop and manage credit models using advanced Excel and data analytics tools. 
  • Interpret complex datasets to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Communicate effectively across teams, sharing insights and recommendations in a clear, structured manner. 
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives while maintaining robust credit policies. 

Audit and Compliance: 

  • Exhibit a curious, auditing mindset, capable of identifying patterns, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. 
  • Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards. 

Essential qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in credit management or analysis, preferably in fintech or startup environments. 
  • Professional qualification such as CA or CFA or FRM, with a strong grasp of financials, and financial analytics. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data handling; familiarity with other analytics tools is a plus. 
  • A self-motivated individual who can independently drive projects and act decisively. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex analyses in a simplified manner. 
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a knack for connecting dots and uncovering hidden patterns.
