System Engineer Manager

This is a remote position.
We are seeking a highly skilledand motivated System Engineer Manager to lead our team of systemengineers and drive the design implementation and maintenance ofour critical systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate willpossess a strong technical background proven leadership abilitiesand a passion for delivering innovative solutions. The SystemsEngineer Manager reports to the Director Technology Operations inthe Technology department.keyresponsibilities:
- TechnicalLeadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the systemengineering team ensuring the highest standards of quality andefficiency.
- System Design and Implementation:Oversee the design implementation and integration of complexsystems including hardware software and networkcomponents.
- Performance Optimization:Continuously evaluate and optimize system performance to meet orexceed businessrequirements.
- Automation: Reduce manualprocesses through automation using scripting languages thirdpartytoolsetc.
- Problem Resolution: Lead thetroubleshooting and resolution of system issues ensuring minimaldowntime and disruption to businessoperations.
- Team Management: Recruit trainand manage a team of system engineers fostering a collaborative andhighperforming workenvironment.
- Project Management: Plan executeand deliver system engineering projects within defined scope budgetand timeline constraints leveraging Agile and/or Kanbanmethodologies to optimizeefficiency.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate andmanage relationships with technology vendors and serviceproviders.
- Documentation: Ensurecomprehensive documentation of system architectures configurationsand operationalprocedures.
- Security: Implement and maintainrobust security policies processes configurations and tools toprotect systems and data from unauthorized access and threats.Detect and remediatevulnerabilities.
- Identity and Access Management:Design implement and support IAM solutions that leverage automationto provision and deprovision role based access across enterprisesystems.
- Research andDevelopment: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industrytrends identifying opportunities for innovation andimprovement.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in ComputerScience or related field / 8 yrs experience in system engineeringwith at least 2 years in a managerialrole
- Technical Skills: Provenexpertise in system design implementation and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows MacOS Linux)networking protocols security policies and practices virtualizationcloud technologies (AWS Azure) and scripting languages ( PowerShellBash ZShell)
- Leadership Skills: Demonstratedability to lead and inspire a team of technical professionalsfostering collaboration and highperformance.
- Workflow & ProjectManagement Skills: Proven ability to prioritize estimate anddeliver work for a team leveraging Agile and/or Kanbanmethodologies along with successful implementation of complexprojects on time and withinbudget.
- Communication Skills: Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills with the ability toeffectively tailor communication of technical concepts to bothtechnical and nontechnicalaudiences.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identifyquickly and resolve complexissues
