We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Human Resources to join our team at The Oberoi and Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will support end-to-end HR operations, enhance employee engagement, and contribute to building a high-performance, service-driven hospitality workforce. The detailed job responsibilities and requirements are given below.

Core Responsibilities

  • To ensure that all personnel files are up to date.
  • To administer ESI, Provident Fund, Gratuity and superannuation schemes and develop a time chart for the implementation of these statutory provisions.
  • To maintain close liaison with the health & sanitation departments of the local administration and with the labor offices.
  • To visit the residence of employees as a representative of Management on auspicious as well as unhappy occasions.
  • To maintain constant liaison with the union and other labor leaders and attend all meetings related to Industrial Relations.
  • To supervise the transport facilities for the staff who are entitled to it as per the Company policy.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances applicable.
  • To have through knowledge of labor legislation including latest amendments, especially those effecting the working of the hotel directly.
  • Responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of all relevant statutory records, registers & forms.
  • Ensures all employee benefits and entitlements are administered timely and accurately.
  • Ensures all relevant documentation, HIRS is on-line and updated.
  • Ensures that the organization's policies are adhered to by all the employees in the department.
  • Advises, proposes and recommends systems and procedures to enhance performance & teamwork.

Key Requirements

  • Relevant experience of 4-6 years in Human Resources department.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliances, labor relations and payroll.
  • Experience of working with HR System like Darwinbox will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Professional approach and demeanor.
  • Good organizational, communication, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Knowledge of local language will be an advantage.
