Purpose of the Position

Hiab is looking for a trainee to join Hiabs Group reporting team. Our teams main responsibilities include Group consolidation and correctness overview of monthly reporting, quarterly and annual closing and preparation of financial statements in interim and annual reports as a stock-listed company.

In this position, you will work on supportive tasks of interim and annual closing as well as preparation of the financial statements in both languages Finnish and English, together with the Group reporting team. In this position, you will report to the Director, Group reporting.

This is a part-time or full-time position located in Helsinki; working time is negotiable. In Group reporting, the busiest times with preferred full-time working time are in October and January. This is a fixed-term position starting from September 2025 until April 2026 but can be agreed together with the employee with some degree of flexibility.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Supporting in external financial reporting related tasks, e.g., proof-reading of the interim report
• Supporting in monthly consolidation and Group management reporting tasks
• Support in some tasks around finance business partnering in group functions

What Youll Need to Succeed

• Study for an academic degree in accounting or finance
• A can-do attitude and a proactive approach
• Accuracy and an analytical mind
• Fluency in both written and spoken especially in Finnish, but also in English
• Previous knowledge and understanding of financial reporting and consolidation process, but also relevant studies and interest to work with financial reporting related issues within a stock-listed company provide a suitable background and is an advantage
