About The Job
Project Order Bid Hub is a team in the central organization belonging to Business Unit Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers in the Energy Division of Alfa Laval Lund. The team is responsible for managing and providing support in the bidding stage of complex projects with high added value. Our customers are global, and the bid team includes people from our global sales force as well as experts from local Operation sites.

You will be part of the bid team, analyzing customer technical specifications and providing feedback in terms of a clarification list, translating customer demands into specific extras/features of the heat exchangers. You will communicate internally with experts as well as with the customers in different technical clarification meetings. You will provide cost for special components and lead time information using different tools and systems. You will report to the Bid Hub manager.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer technical specifications and prepare clarification/deviation lists
• Provide cost and lead time of special components using different tools and systems
• Support in thermal design
• Take an active role in clarification meetings that may include the customer
• Cooperate with central functions and experts, as well as salespeople in the local sales companies globally
• Quote for spare parts for Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers in our installed base
• Answer general technical questions related to bids using our ticket system
• Be a first contact point for global sales people in questions around the fulfillment of customers' special demands

What You Know
We believe you have a university degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical / Chemical or energy systems) or similar education, and are an experienced user of Microsoft Office programs. You have experience from and a good understanding of manufacturing/processes and supply chain. You are fluent in English on a high technical level, both spoken and written. You should have 3-4 years' work experience in the relevant field. And Experience of Heat Exchanges would be an added advantage.
