FOOD Technologist / Sr. Manager 7-10 years Pune

Qualification : PHD in Food Technology

Experience 7-10 years

OPEN salary budget for right candidate.

Preferred:

  • 3–4 years of experience in food product development/food industry
  • Strong track record in
    commercial product launches, process innovation, and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated leadership in
    building and mentoring R&D teams
    and managing cross-functional projects
  • Exposure to
    global consumer trends, food safety regulations, and sustainability practices

Key Responsibilities

Innovation & Product Development

  • Drive development of innovative and differentiated snack products and food formats
  • Lead exploratory research on emerging processing technologies
  • Convert consumer insights into commercially viable, indulgent, and scalable products

Process Development & Scale-up

  • Lead lab and pilot plant trials, ensuring seamless scale-up to commercial production
  • Oversee troubleshooting and process optimization for efficiency, yield, and consistency
  • Develop and maintain robust process documentation and SOPs for technology transfer

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with Indian, EU, and international food safety standards
  • Conduct shelf-life validation, MSI (Moisture Sorption Isotherm) studies, and generate scientific data
  • Champion quality, food safety, and sustainability in all R&D initiatives

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and lead a team of food technologists and process engineers
  • Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, design, and installation-commissioning teams for aligned execution
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and technology partners
  • Provide strategic R&D direction aligned with organizational growth goals
