Job Summary

The Field Sales Officer/ Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, building strong customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets across India. This role requires extensive travel, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in dynamic market environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and acquire new customers across assigned territories PAN India.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct market visits to promote products/services and generate leads.
  • Execute sales strategies and promotional activities as defined by the company.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, partners, and end customers.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Handle client queries, objections, and provide timely resolutions.

3. Market Research & Reporting

  • Gather market intelligence and competitor information.
  • Identify market trends, potential opportunities, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales reports, travel plans, and visit summaries.

4. Territory Management

  • Plan and execute travel schedules efficiently for maximum market coverage.
  • Conduct on-ground promotional campaigns, demos, and product presentations.
  • Support channel partners with product training and merchandising (if applicable).

5. Coordination & Compliance

  • Ensure timely collection of payments as per company policy.
  • Adhere to company guidelines, brand standards, and ethical sales practices.

5. Travel Requirements

  • Primarily responsible for local and regional field visits.
  • Occasional travel across India for:

  • Territory expansion

  • Customer meetings

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education

  • Bachelors degree in any field.
  • MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 1-5 years of field sales experience in relevant industries.
  • Freshers with strong communication and willingness to learn may also apply.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, CRM tools).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness for occasional Pan-India travel as required.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi (additional regional languages are a plus).
  • Must possess a valid driving license.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
