Job Description: Sub-Team Leader - Secretariat
Role Summary
The Sub-Team Leader (Sub-TL) - Secretariat is responsible for the overall management of the "Secretariat" vertical, ensuring sustained growth, profitability, and consistent achievement of targets. This role involves leading a team, managing project delivery, driving billing and recovery, and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
Project and Delivery Management
- Prepare project plans for each assignment and create work allocations with defined timelines to ensure on-time delivery and 100% compliance using MMJC systems.
- Guide the team toward on-time closures of assignments.
- Review the team's work for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Visit clients as required by the contract or as needed.
- Handle client queries and escalations, and interact with clients to push for data sharing in cases of delay.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot and minimize bottlenecks in delivery.
- Liaise with Regulatory Bodies as per the specialisation.
- Liaise with other functional TLs and Sub-TLs for cross-functional assignments.
Financial and Stakeholder Coordination
- Follow up or ensure the team follows up with stakeholders for billing/invoicing and recovery as per defined timelines.
- Co-ordinate with the client for outstanding recoveries.
- Attend Business Development meetings with the TL to gather client requirements.
- Coordinate with the HR, Admin, and Accounts teams for support in hiring, infrastructure, and recoveries, respectively.
Team Development and Reporting
- Be actively involved in hiring and in maintaining the morale, performance, and engagement levels within the team.
- Identify individual training and developmental needs and share them with the Services and HR team.
- Encourage team members to continuously improve their knowledge and skills, and provide inputs on the practical deployment of legislations and regulations.
- Conduct weekly meetings with the team to plan work deliverables and review actionables (recoveries/invoicing/escalations, etc.).
- Conduct daily team meetings to discuss execution and bottlenecks in delivery.
- Participate in daily sessions, knowledge sharing, engagement activities, and tests organized by MMJC.
- Attend fortnightly and monthly reviews with the Partners and TLs to ascertain progress on each assignment.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Partners and TLs to discuss learnings and flag issues/concerns.
Required Qualifications and Specifications
- Education: Qualified CS (Company Secretary) from ICSI.
- Knowledge:
- Sound knowledge of corporate company laws in India.
- Practical knowledge of corporate governance and the regulatory framework governing various industries.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel.
Reporting Structure and Interfaces
- Reports To: TL (Team Leader).
- Reporting Teams: 1.
- Roles Reporting to this role: Team Member, Ops Support, Trainees.
- Internal Interfaces: Partners, TL, Trainees, Team Members, Ops Support, MIS Team, Accounts Team, HR Team, Admin Team, R&D Team, Other Functional TLs and Sub-TLs.
- External Interfaces: Clients or their representatives (Advocate, CA etc.), ROC, RBI, NCLT, OL (as per specialisation).
- Decision Making Authority: Decisions pertaining to work allocation of the Team.
