Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production head to oversee the daily operations within the designated production area to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Your responsibilities include planning and coordinating production activities, maintaining facility cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring accurate documentation of production data.

Roles & Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for ensuring all activities adhere to established SOPs, documents, and accurately documenting data according to SOP's.

• You will be responsible for planning daily production activities within the designated production area.

• You will be responsible for keeping up to date with and updating day-to-day production details as necessary.

• You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and high standards of housekeeping in production facilities.

• You will be responsible for enforcing discipline in the workplace to ensure smooth operations.

• You will be responsible for verifying physical stock against stock details on a regular basis.

• You will be responsible for confirming the calibration of all measuring instruments/equipment before usage.

• You will be responsible for overseeing the qualification of new or modified facilities and equipment prior to use.

• You will be responsible for monitoring and following up on preventive maintenance of equipment and maintenance works.

• You will be responsible for monitoring the availability of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the production area.

• You will be responsible for communicating specific instructions received from the Head of Department to relevant personnel.

• You will be responsible for verifying the periodic calibration of weighing balances.

• You will be responsible for checking gauge calibration records and notifying engineering personnel for recalibration as needed.

• You will be responsible for reporting any near-miss accidents to the appropriate Production supervisor.

Educational qualification: B.Sc. or M.Sc. (with Chemistry as one of the subject)

Minimum work experience: 10 years of manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical plants with hands-on experience on continuous manufacturing equipment for API synthesis (reactions and downstream operations)

• Proficiency in using document management systems and SAP

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in production operations.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
