Clinical Care & Resident Management

  • Conduct daily medical rounds and assess residents' health status.
  • Diagnose and treat common medical conditions in elderly residents.
  • Prescribe medications and review ongoing treatment plans.
  • Monitor vitals, chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, cardiac conditions, etc.).
  • Provide basic life support and stabilize patients during medical emergencies.
  • Attend and manage medical emergencies until referral or transfer.

Care Coordination

  • Coordinate with visiting consultants, specialists, and physiotherapists.
  • Refer residents to hospitals when advanced treatment is required.
  • Ensure continuity of care during admission, discharge, and post-hospitalization follow-ups.
  • Communicate medical updates to residents and family members.

Medical Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate medical records, progress notes, and treatment charts.
  • Ensure legal and ethical medical practices within the facility.
  • Follow clinical protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety standards.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.

Supervision & Team Collaboration

  • Supervise nursing staff, caregivers, and paramedics on duty.
  • Train staff on medical protocols, emergency procedures, and infection control.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions.
  • Support multidisciplinary care plans with therapists and counselors.

Emergency & Infection Control

  • Lead emergency response within the facility.
  • Monitor and manage communicable diseases and outbreak control.
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene and infection control policies.
