Dashboard and Reporting Analyst

Our site in Pune, India is seeking a Dashboard and Reporting Analyst to join our team. The Dashboard and Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide insights into key business metrics. This role will work closely with stakeholders across different departments to understand their reporting needs, create meaningful data visualizations, and ensure that data is accessible and actionable. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, reporting tools, and business intelligence practices.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build interactive, user-friendly dashboards and visual reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other similar BI platforms.
• Develop data models and integrate data from multiple sources to create unified, actionable reports.
• Implement best practices for data visualization to ensure reports are clear, informative, and accessible to non-technical stakeholders.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement.
• Generate regular (daily, weekly, monthly) and ad-hoc reports for key business functions such as finance, sales, operations, marketing, and executive leadership.
• Provide recommendations based on analysis to drive business performance and decision-making.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for reporting and dashboard-related inquiries.
• Ensure reports meet stakeholder needs and align with organizational goals.

Data Quality & Governance:

• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with data engineering or IT teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve data sources.
• Stay updated on best practices for data governance, security, and privacy standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to optimize existing dashboards and reports for improved performance, user experience, and insights.
• Implement enhancements and new features based on user feedback and emerging business needs.

What We Seek:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) in data reporting, business intelligence, or analytics roles.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Looker, or similar.
• Experience with data visualization best practices and creating complex dashboards.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, R, or similar) is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for a non-technical audience.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring the quality and accuracy of reports.

• Advanced tools knowledge: Expertise in advanced features of BI tools (e.g., DAX in Power BI, calculated fields in Tableau).
• Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects or reporting requests simultaneously.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry in which the company operates (e.g., finance, retail, healthcare) is a plus.
