Finance Specialist – Profitability, Growth & AI-Driven Financial Planning Location: Pune (On-site) Department: Finance & Strategy Reports to: CEO / FounderRole Overview

We're looking for a
Finance Specialist
who combines financial precision with strategic thinking and tech fluency.

Someone who can manage profitability, cash flow, and working capital — while also leveraging
AI tools and dashboards
to drive faster, smarter financial decisions.

This is not a traditional finance role.

It's for someone who understands that
growth comes with risk
, and knows how to plan, forecast, and optimize that risk using
data, automation, and AI
.

You'll work directly with leadership to build the financial engine that powers our next 10× scale-up.

Key Responsibilities

Profitability & Financial Control

• Manage and analyze
  brand-wise and product-wise P&L, EBITA, and margin performance.
• Identify and reduce
  variable expenses
  across marketing, logistics, and operations.
• Verify transactions for accuracy, approval, and business justification.
• Build profitability dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or AI-based tools.

Working Capital & Liquidity Management

• Monitor
  cash conversion cycle, receivables, payables, and inventory.
• Forecast liquidity needs and maintain optimal cash positions.
• Develop automation for
  cash-flow tracking and alerts
  using AI or financial APIs.

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting

• Prepare
  monthly and annual budgets
  , variance analyses, and ROI reports.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to build
  dynamic financial models
  .
• Use AI-powered forecasting tools to predict revenue, cost trends, and risk scenarios.
• Design strategies to balance aggressive growth with financial stability.

Technology, Automation & AI Integration

• Build and maintain
  AI-driven financial dashboards
  for real-time decision-making.
• Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Excel Copilot, Power BI Copilot, , or similar) for:
• Automated report generation
• Trend analysis
• Expense categorization
• Scenario forecasting
• Continuously evaluate and implement digital finance solutions to increase efficiency.

Fundraising & Strategic Finance

• Support the founder in
  fundraising
  ,
  investor reporting
  , and
  due-diligence preparation.
• Create financial projections, pitch decks, and data rooms for potential investors.
• Model ROI and payback scenarios for strategic initiatives.

Reporting & Compliance

• Maintain monthly MIS, audit-ready books, and tax compliance.
• Present concise financial summaries and insights to leadership.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in
  finance, FP&A, or strategic business finance
  (FMCG / D2C / startup background preferred).
• Deep understanding of
  P&L, EBITA, cash flow, working capital, and forecasting.
• Tech-driven mindset — proficiency in
  Excel, Power BI, Google Sheets
  , and awareness of
  AI tools
  for analytics and automation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Qualification: CA (Inter) / MBA (Finance) / CFA / M.Com with proven experience in growth-stage companies.
