Jalakara is a boutique hideaway located in the lovely Andaman Islands, and the lush coastal hills of Gokarna.
We are recruiting a Resident Manager for Kahani Paradise Gokarna, which has been rated among the 
World's Top 50 Hotels
 by The Telegraph UK. With a reputation for warm hospitality, refined simplicity, and thoughtful design, we welcome guests seeking an intimate and memorable escape. Our team is small, passionate, and committed to creating experiences that feel personal and deeply resonant.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Resident Manager
 to lead the day-to-day operations of Jalakara. This role is hands-on and immersive, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit environment, thrives in a remote setting, and can balance operational efficiency with heartfelt hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, and Administration.
  • Lead, motivate, and train a small team to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Manage reservations, check-ins, and guest relations with a strong focus on personalisation.
  • Monitor and manage property upkeep, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Handle purchasing, vendor coordination, and cost control.
  • Maintain and enforce SOPs across departments.
  • Ensure smooth use of POS/PMS and front office accounts.
  • Support senior management with reporting and compliance.
  • Act as the primary on-site point of contact for guests and staff.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operations.
  • Strong understanding of hotel administration, purchasing, and SOPs.
  • Familiarity with POS and PMS systems.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to work in a remote, nature-rich environment.
  • Energetic, self-driven, and eager for a challenging role with growth potential.
