About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technical Assistant with a Diploma in Civil Engineering to support our laboratory operations. The role involves conducting material tests, preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and assisting in quality control processes for ongoing civil engineering projects. This is a site-based role requiring hands-on involvement.

Role Overview

As a Lab Technical Assistant at Jancy Labs, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of laboratory tasks and maintaining the high-quality standards our clients trust us for. This role requires on-site presence and offers substantial hands-on exposure to civil materials testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine civil materials testing: concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, steel, bricks, water, bitumen
  • Prepare, handle, and organize samples in alignment with standard testing procedures
  • Maintain precise and accurate test records and documentation
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain testing instruments and equipment
  • Adhere strictly to lab safety, quality, and accreditation protocols
  • Assist in compiling technical reports under senior supervision
  • Ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization, including both on-site and lab environments

Requirements

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
  • Hands-on familiarity with civil testing procedures is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Capacity to follow technical instructions and safety protocols
  • Strong time-management and teamwork skills
  • Must be willing to work on-site at our Madurai facility
  • Immediate joiners preferred for fast onboarding
