Finance Controller

ROLE SUMMARY

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the finance and accounting operations for Provoke Solutions and Pontis Technology under the Company's Group. Role requires strong expertise in transition management, multi-country accounting, and process migration across diverse systems such as Xero or equivalent accounting applications.

The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in understanding existing client processes, executing knowledge transfer, documenting procedures, and setting up a standardized process framework within BWI GCC. The position ensures governance, financial control, compliance, and alignment with Company's Group objectives across US, EU, and APAC operations.

Role Responsibilities

Key Areas - Transition, Migration & Knowledge Transfer

Activities

• Lead the end-to-end transition of finance processes from client entities to BWI GCC.
• Conduct detailed process understanding, mapping, and gap analysis.
• Document and standardize migrated processes with SOPs and control checkpoints.
• Ensure seamless knowledge transfer between client teams and BWI India.
• Set up the accounting and reporting framework within BWI systems and align with Group policies.

Key Areas - Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis

Activities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide actionable financial insights to leadership for project profitability and business decisions.
• Build financial models and dashboards for reporting and planning.
• Ensure alignment between IT project costing and overall business goals.

Key Areas - Reporting & Compliance

Activities

• Oversee accounting, reporting, and reconciliations across multiple geographies.
• Approve bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and client collections.
• Manage intercompany transactions, consolidation, and monthly close.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and local statutory frameworks.

Key Areas - Compliance & Risk Management

Activities

• Implement strong internal control frameworks.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants across jurisdictions (US, NZ, AU, EU).
• Ensure timely statutory filings and adherence to governance standards.
• Monitor data integrity, security, and audit readiness.

Key Areas - Team Development (Future Scope)

Activities

• Establish process documentation, reporting cadence, and governance templates.
• Train AP/AR/R2R teams for steady-state operations.
• Build cross-functional collaboration across Finance, IT, and client stakeholders.
• Foster a high-performance culture driven by accountability and ownership

Activities

• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
• Recommend system enhancements and digital solutions (Xero, BI tools, Excel models).
• Develop best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

Activities - Participate in and take responsibility for workplace environment, health and safety at the level required for this position, following the guidelines in the company Environmental, Health and Safety Management System Manual.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Education/Qualification - CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA or equivalent (mandatory)

Experience

• 1518 years of experience in Finance & Accounts
• Proven experience in handling end-to-end accounting and FP&A
• Strong understanding of Australian and Irish tax/compliance requirements
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience in the IT services sector is desirable
