Position Title: Lead Utilities



Level: Middle Management



Reporting To: Head Asset Management & Engineering



Position Purpose

The Lead Utilities is responsible to plan and drive uninterrupted economic utilities operations safely while meeting all statutory and organizational requirements within budgeted costs and time. The role also provides inputs to Head Engineering for preparation of budgets for Utilities function. Perform equal to business and organizational requirements.

Strategic Responsibilities
  • Assist Head Engineering in techno commercial inputs pertaining to plant and machineries, plant maintenance and utilities
  • Assist in manpower selections and utilization related to plant maintenance
Operational Responsibilities
  • Direct, coordinate and supervise all utilities maintenance and workshop activities at site
  • Drive compliance to KPOV of Utilities
  • Ensure adherence to PM schedule
  • Maintain documents related to PM check list, condition appraisal, Equipment History card
  • Critical spares & Insurance spares Identification and stock levels maintaining
  • Improvement of existing maintenance practices
  • Improve the effectiveness of AMT/DMT of Utilities
  • Spares specification enhancement to improve /ensure quality of Incoming good
  • Ensure safe and pleasant work environment in Utility plant during and after completion of work
  • Ensure reduction in incident including first aid
  • Follow all safety permits without any deviation
  • Maintain proper discipline for proper use of PPE's for self and subordinates & to achieve zero accident while doing maintenance work
  • Ensure adherence to the planned budget for Utilities

  • Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team     
  • Actively drive, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team

  • Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PI's values, vision & mission and active participation in various team engagement activities
Education Qualification

B.E Mechanical/ Chemical

Work Experience

12-15 years in Utilities Maintenance

Industry to be Hired from

Agro-API-Fine-Chemicals- Petrochemicals

Functional Competencies
  • Ability to handle day to day maintenance and operation of power plant and electrical maintenance with the help of engineers / Technician /contractor person
  • Ability to solve technical issues
  • Possesses manpower handling and counselling abilities
  • Knowledge of QMS and ISO systems
  • Good Technical knowledge of own as well as related fields
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Preferably qualified Energy manager
