Business Associate

As a Business Associate in the Global Mergers & Acquisitions team, you will work closely with KPMG Member firms and be responsible for managing the preliminary legwork for potential deals, analyzing industry prospects by gathering information about growth, competitors, market share possibilities, and reviewing company fundamentals and financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Submission:
— Represent KPMG to all external databases and manage submissions for all KPMG deals.
— Maintain a thorough understanding of the deal submission processes for each external database.
— Update deal feedback from various databases into an internal KPMG platform.
— Address deal credit status and eligibility queries from various member firms.
League Tables:
— Generate League Tables using Refinitiv and ION Analytics Group.
— Cross-verify KPMG's deal credits and address any discrepancies found.
Research and Data Analysis:
— Support GM&A leadership requests by conducting research and deriving meaningful insights from complex datasets within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
— Be well-versed in company and secondary research using various databases.
— Prepare dedicated quarterly and annual M&A reports and newsletters for leadership.
Roles & responsibilities
International Desk:
— Update DealCloud as an internal database for the International Desk and US Corporate Finance projects.
— Assist the US International Desk team in creating multi-firm engagement and new business approval agreements (MFE NBA).
— Maintain a record of Buyer Outreach and provide timely assistance related to open engagements.
Portal & Tools:
— Demonstrate working knowledge of SharePoint Online and AI prompt engineering.
— Update the League Tables page quarterly.
— Be familiar with external databases, including Refinitiv, ION Analytics Group, Capital IQ, PitchBook, and ZoomInfo.
Other Key Responsibilities:
— Deliver zero-error projects and adhere to a first-time-right approach.
— Update and maintain process documentation.
— Suggest ideas for process optimization.
— Maintain pre-established networks within the Practice Group and across KPMG.
— Promote the sharing of ideas within the immediate team.
