Job Title: Executive/Sr. Executive - Accounts Payable (2-4 Years)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and maintaining organized financial records. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial stability and integrity of the organization. Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Processing:

  • Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all invoices are accurate, properly coded, and compliant with company policies.

2. Payment Processing:

  • Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Schedule and prioritize payments to take advantage of available discounts and credit terms.

3. Vendor Communication:

  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and address payment issues.

4. Expense Reporting:

  • Reconcile and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

5. Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoice files and payment documentation.

6. Month-End Close:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and reporting.

7. Compliance and Policies:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.

8. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other members of the finance team to support overall departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related financial role.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with automated accounts payable systems is a plus.
