We are seeking a
Financial Controller with 5-6 years
of relevant experience to manage key financial responsibilities, including Accounts, MIS (Management Information Systems), Taxation, and Secretarial functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and corporate governance, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to support business decisions.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Financial Management:

2. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and reports.

3. Ensure timely completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
4. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
5. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.

6. Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning.

7. Taxation:

8. Manage all aspects of direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and income tax.

9. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, along with adherence to all statutory requirements.
10. Handle tax assessments, audits, and disputes with tax authorities.
11. Keep updated with the latest tax regulations and ensure the company's compliance with all tax laws.

12. Advise management on tax planning and optimization strategies.

13. Management Information Systems (MIS):

14. Develop and maintain MIS reports to provide accurate and timely financial and operational data to management.

15. Analyze financial data and prepare variance analysis, profitability reports.
16. Support decision-making by providing insightful analysis and recommendations based on financial and operational data.

17. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all MIS reports.

18. Secretarial Compliance:

19. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements under the Companies Act and other relevant legislation.

20. Assist in the preparation and filing of statutory returns, resolutions, and other secretarial documents.
21. Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders for compliance-related matters.

22. Maintain and update company records, including minutes of board meetings, statutory registers, and other secretarial documents.

23. Audit and Internal Controls:

24. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.

25. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.

26. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as required.

27. Financial Strategy and Planning:

28. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth and financial sustainability.

29. Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
30. Assist in evaluating and managing financial risks associated with business operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and secretarial functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and corporate governance.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally,).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in the FMCG or food industry is an added advantage.
