1. Role Summary

Responsible for overall financial management, accounting operations, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, statutory compliance, and supports business decision-making for growth and profitability.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Supervise daily accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations).
  • Present the monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS as per the requirements of Management
  • Ensure monthly audit/scrutiny of books and reporting to management.
  • Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors.

B. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Analyse annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Track and report budget vs. actual performance.
  • Analyse financial trends and variances to recommend corrective actions.

C. Compliance

  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to audit requirements.

D. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain internal control systems and financial policies.
  • Strengthen cost control and approval processes.
  • Implement automation and ERP system improvements for efficiency.

E. Strategic & Management Support

  • Provide financial insights for decision-making and business expansion.
  • Support management in pricing, cost optimisation, and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare management dashboards and MIS reports.

3. Qualifications

  • Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance).
  • Experience: 8–12 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the service or manufacturing Industries.

  • Knowledge:

  • Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance frameworks.

  • Proficiency in Tally / SAP / QuickBooks / Zoho Books / ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.

4. Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial controls and statutory compliance.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving approach.
  • High integrity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication with senior management and auditors.

5. Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Budget adherence and cost control.
  • Compliance with statutory deadlines (GST, TDS, ROC, etc.).
  • Audit closure without major observations.
