About the Role

XYZ is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Human Resources to lead its HR function and align people strategies with business goals. The role demands a proactive leader with strong expertise in Manpower Planning, Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Compliance, and Change Management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manpower Planning & Recruitment

Develop cost-effective manpower planning aligned with organizational goals.

Create and implement recruitment strategies for all levels, ensuring quality and cost-effective sourcing.

Manage manpower costs vs. profitability while attracting top talent.

Establish HR policies and ensure implementation across departments.

  1. Succession Planning & Leadership Development

Design succession planning frameworks for leadership continuity.

Develop second-line leaders through empowerment and training initiatives.

Facilitate training needs analysis, performance appraisal systems, and job evaluation processes.

Identify critical roles and build robust succession pipelines.

  1. Retention & Attrition Management

Formulate proactive retention strategies to minimize attrition of top talent.

Implement organization-wide retention practices and review policies periodically.

Develop best practices to control turnover while ensuring smooth exit processes.

  1. Change Management

Lead organizational change through effective communication and structured implementation of new HR policies.

Provide leadership for HR operations, payroll, and benefits administration.

Establish transparent communication channels across all levels.

  1. People Management & Culture Building

Partner with senior management for performance reviews and reward structures.

Foster a performance-driven, empowered, and engaging workplace culture.

Develop and implement effective reward & recognition systems.

Act as a bridge between employees and management for smooth operations.

  1. Compensation & Benefits

Develop fair, equitable, and competitive compensation policies.

Conduct benchmarking and recommend revisions to compensation structures.

Oversee pay plans, benefits, and incentive programs to ensure retention and motivation.

  1. Compliance & Statutory Adherence

Ensure compliance with labor laws, state, and central regulations.

Oversee disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Represent the organization during legal proceedings and audits.

  1. Process Improvement & HRMS Implementation

Develop and benchmark best HR practices.

Drive HRMS implementation in collaboration with functional experts.

Candidate Profile

Education: MBA/PGDM in HR (preferred) or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 15 years in HR leadership roles.

Skills Required:

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Strategic & analytical mindset

Strong knowledge of labor laws & regulatory frameworks

Expertise in payroll, MIS, HRMS, and compliance

Positive attitude, team orientation, and leadership presence

Proficiency in MS Office & HR software
