As a Regulatory Reporting Business Associate within the Regulatory Reporting Team, you will support Mortgage Banking External/Regulatory Reporting by gathering and documenting business requirements in accordance with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for regulatory and non-regulatory exam requirements, working under tight deadlines to ensure compliance and timely completion of projects.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Interpret business needs of customers and translate them into application and operational requirements (BRD) in compliance with JPMC standards, utilizing strong analytical and product management skills.

  • Liaise between product and IT to understand customer requirements/demands and prioritize the product roadmap.

  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define product enhancements, new features, and address existing issues, serving as a channel between internal-external customers and the IT team through which requirements flow.

  • Gather information from multiple sources, critically evaluate it, reconcile conflicts, disseminate high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from their true needs.

  • Participate in user acceptance testing and undertake the functionality testing of new systems. Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements. Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects. Assess, understand, and manage interdependencies with other work streams.

  • Maintain compliance with all relevant JP Morgan policies and guidelines during all stages of the project life cycle.

  • Demonstrate advanced analytical acumen and solution orientation, possessing critical thinking skills and the ability to understand requirements to provide insightful observations, identify trends, and communicate these effectively.

  • Act independently to make timely and informed decisions aligned to the role's remit or escalate as appropriate to management or others in IT as needed.

  • Strive to be strategic, look beyond 'stop gap' measures, and seek to drive improvements to reporting and analysis practices in a manner that is both effective and supportive of the value firm has to the business.

  • Be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work well under tight deadlines, and be comfortable working with technical and business teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

  • A minimum of 5 years of Business Analysis experience with banking domain knowledge 
  • Degree in Business or a related discipline
  • Experience working in Agile framework and product management.
  • Mandatory experience in SQL with focus on data retrieval and analysis from multiple data sources is mandatory. 
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations. Excellent documentation skills
  • Maintains basic knowledge of Data Analytics and Data Visualization best practices.
  • Experience in working with large datasets, derive insights and present information through visualization and reports.
  • Ability to present effectively to both business and technical audiences at all levels of the organization

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Regulatory Reporting experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Tableau & Python would be beneficial.
  • Shift: 2PM to 11PM IST
