The Development team is part of the Business Operations & Strategic Services (BOSS) group in the HPE Nimble Storage Support team, which belongs to the HPE Storage and Big Data division. This team is responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of Salesforce solutions that support Technical Support Engineers (TSEs), Proactive Support Managers (PSMs), PEAK, and Technical Support Managers (TSMs). By implementing advanced automation strategies and ensuring data accuracy, we help increase efficiency across the support organization and deliver a world-class customer experience.

Management Level Definition

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in testing Salesforce applications and integrations. This individual should be skilled in designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks as well as validating complex Salesforce solutions. They should be able to understand business requirements, create comprehensive test strategies, and ensure high-quality deliverables. A collaborative mindset and passion for quality excellence are essential as this role works closely with developers, business users, and product teams to ensure Salesforce applications meet functional, performance, and security standards.

What you'll do:

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts within Salesforce environments.
  • Partner with business users, developers, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into test strategies and test cases.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, automation best practices, and deployment processes.
  • Actively participate in test planning, design reviews, debugging, and supporting applications and integrations on
  • Leverage QA expertise and automation skills to influence product quality, test processes, and delivery timelines.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, providing QA insights during sprint cycles and ensuring timely validation of features.
  • Provide support in identifying, documenting, and resolving defects in both manual and automated testing phases.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of QA experience with at least 3+ years in test automation (preferably with Salesforce platforms). 7+ years without a degree.
  • Salesforce QA background with experience in Service Cloud and/or other Salesforce modules preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator or QA Automation certification is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Provar, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform, including Lightning Experience, workflows, triggers, and APIs.
  • Experience in validating Salesforce integrations with external applications using SOAP, REST, or middleware.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing complex automation scripts and test cases.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills for identifying issues in large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate test strategies, results, and quality risks.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise-level testing.
  • Experience with version control and release management tools including Git, Gearset, and GitHub Copilot for collaboration, automation, and deployment efficiency.
