JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to lead and execute end-to-end quality assurance strategies across complex enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in test automation frameworks, hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG, and a proven ability to deliver quality solutions in agile and distributed environments.

This role requires a self-starter who can define automation strategies, develop reusable frameworks, manage testing life cycles, and collaborate effectively with development, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality releases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.
  • Lead test automation strategy, roadmap, and implementation across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and define effective test coverage.
  • Perform automation feasibility studies, framework enhancements, and continuous integration setup.
  • Conduct end-to-end functional, regression, and integration testing using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), and TestNG.
  • Drive quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes.
  • Manage test plans, test cases, and test data preparation; execute automated and manual tests as needed.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and maintain automation scripts in version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Mentor junior QA members and support knowledge sharing across teams.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation.
  • Proficient in:
  • Automation Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), TestNG/JUnit
  • Programming Languages: Java (preferred), JavaScript or Python (optional)
  • API Testing Tools: Postman, SOAP UI, REST Assured
  • Version Control: Git
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
  • Test Management Tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps
  • Database Testing: SQL
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
