The Role

Reporting into the ESG & Compliance Manager, you will support and be a key part of Norstella's compliance and ESG programs and working cross functionally with other members of the Norstella Legal team. The role will suit someone who has prior experience across a range of compliance and ESG matters, and particularly prior experience with environmental and sanctions issues, and is comfortable managing a busy workload.

Your main responsibilities as a Compliance Analyst will involve:

  • Conduct third-party screenings on customers and vendors, including reviewing and escalating, as needed, potential red flags, within multiple systems
  • Responsible to keep the vendor screening repository up to date for audit and other purposes
  • Continually reviewing and developing compliance workflows and automation opportunities
  • Producing monthly reports on screening activities, risks, and compliance performance
  • Support the implementation of various compliance and ESG projects and programs across the business
  • Other day-to-day support on the Company's compliance and ESG programs
  • Maintain GHG data and obtain evidence to ensure audit readiness
  • Responsible for maintaining a document register and management system for compliance and ESG

Candidate profile

  • At least 5 years of prior Trade compliance experience is required and prior experience with managing corporate sanctions is essential with some ESG or quality management experience is strongly preferred
  • Fluent English Language skills – written and spoken
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage large amounts of data in an organised and structured manner; flexibility and ability to juggle multiple projects and work, often with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail; strong written communication; ability to understand, analyse, and summarise the keys points from significant amounts of data and information for internal and external reporting and other purposes
  • Ability to manage systems and create necessary audit trails and documentation
  • Process oriented and data driven
  • Keen interest in compliance & ESG
  • Strong MS Office (particularly Excel) skills essential
