Role Overview:

This role combines the strategic leadership of an SEO Team Lead with the tactical capabilities of an SEO

Analyst. You will be responsible for defining SEO strategy, overseeing implementation, conducting

audits, analyzing data, and mentoring junior SEO executives to ensure seamless and high-performing

SEO delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Planning


• Understand client goals, KPIs, and website objectives to create actionable SEO roadmaps.


• Lead SEO audits (technical, content, UI/UX, competitor, GMB) and align them with client

expectations.


• Create quarterly keyword and content strategies.


• Develop audit templates and implementation checklists tailored for each client.


• Participate in strategic client meetings and present audit findings and improvement plans.

2. Execution & Implementation


• Conduct and oversee keyword research, mapping, and brand alignment.


• Supervise and implement on-page SEO elements: metadata, headings, keyword placement,

internal linking, schema markup, etc.


• Guide blog content planning and collaborate with the content team for SEO-driven content

creation.


• Oversee and optimize local SEO (GMB optimization, Quora submissions, directory listings,

reviews).


• Perform technical fixes including crawlability, site speed, mobile usability, indexability,

structured data, and GA4/GTM setups.

3. Analysis & Optimization


• Track keyword rankings, traffic sources, user behavior (via GA4, GSC, MS Clarity), and

conversion metrics.


• Benchmark competitors and conduct keyword/content gap analysis.


• Analyze old blog/web pages and recommend updates on a monthly and quarterly basis.


• Review team activity sheets and ensure performance against KPIs and timelines.


• Create and review monthly reports and derive insights for continuous SEO improvement.

4. Team & Process Management


• Oversee daily and weekly task delegation, follow-ups, and quality control across the SEO

team.


• Mentor and train junior SEO executives; assign learning modules, share industry trends, and

guide tool usage.


• Assist in SEO hiring and onboarding; ensure smooth integration of new team members.


• Maintain documentation for audits, tool accesses, learning logs, and performance tracking.
