As the Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and execution of the vision for enabling solutions on United AI Studio (enterprise ML platform). As a principal engineer, you will ensure technical tasks and properly detailed, designed and executed per existing standards. You will also need to work with other engineering teams and leaders - solving their use cases, discussing issues and resolving them. The engineering work is primarily done using cloud-based services like Azure, AWS, and GCP, and it is therefore essential that for our engineers to be successful, they should have had experience working on cloud-based services.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work with the United AI Studio engineering teams to help solve business problemDesign, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and securityUse software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team's deliverablesWrite high quality distributed system softwareDecompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutionsPerform code review and mentor junior engineersFlexible, adapting to meet the needs of the team, project, or productSolicit differing views and are willing to change your mind as you learn moreMentor junior engineersComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field10+ years industry experience as a Software Engineer or a Software DeveloperExperience working in a complex, service-oriented service developmentExperience in working with engineering leadersGood knowledge on technology stack like Java (Spring Boot), REST APIs, PythonKnowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing, and operationsGood understanding and hands on architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) activitiesProficiency in cloud platforms and services (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)Proven solid computer science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using terraform or other CI/CD IaCKnowledge or working experience on AI/ML projects
