SENIOR TECHNICIAN (AC & DC, LV & HV MOTOR / ALTERNATOR)

Basic RO 175 p.m. + Adhoc Allowance 10% of basic

Job description:

The Senior Technician is responsible for carrying out dismantling, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of AC & DC motors and alternators (Low Voltage and High Voltage) both in the workshop and at customer sites. The role requires independent execution of jobs, accurate recording of findings, and ensuring all works meet international quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Perform dismantling, cleaning, and inspection of AC & DC motors and alternators (LV & HV).

•

Accurately record measurements, observations, and inspection reports (clearances, insulation resistance, winding condition, bearing condition, etc.).

•

Carry out troubleshooting and fault diagnosis (mechanical, electrical, or insulation related).

•

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors and alternators in the workshop and at site.

•

Conduct solo-run, no-load, and load testing of repaired motors and alternators.

•

Prepare detailed service reports, job cards, and failure analysis documentation.

•

Supervise and guide junior technicians during repair, assembly, and testing activities.

•

Operate and maintain test equipment (megger, surge tester, hipot, vibration analyzer, etc.).

•

Ensure adherence to EASA / IEC / IEEE standards and company QA/QC procedures.

•

Strictly comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements during workshop and site jobs.

Qualifications & Experience:

•

Diploma / ITI / Trade Certificate in Electrical discipline.

•

Minimum 8–10 years' experience in repair, inspection, and testing of AC & DC motors and alternators (LV & HV).

•

Strong knowledge of electrical rotating machines, insulation systems, and troubleshooting techniques.

•

Hands-on experience in performing solo run and load tests.

•

Experience in both workshop-based repairs and site servicing.

•

Familiarity with test instruments and computerized diagnostic tools.

•

Knowledge of international standards (EASA / IEC / IEEE) will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:
