Summary of Job:

The role involves designing and executing in vivo studies to assess the efficacy of novel molecules in cardiovascular and metabolic models, such as hypertension, stroke, diabetes, and obesity. This includes conducting experiments involving animal handling, dosing, and monitoring physiological responses. The candidate will analyze data using appropriate statistical methods and software, interpret results to guide project direction, and prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Development:

• Design and execute in vivo studies to assess the efficacy of novel molecules in cardiovascular & Metabolic models like Hypertension, Stroke, Diabetes, Obesity etc.
• Conduct experiments involving animal handling, dosing, and monitoring of physiological responses.
• Analyse data using appropriate statistical methods and software and interpret results to guide project direction, preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with scientists across various disciplines, including pharmacology, biochemistry, and toxicology, to support integrated research efforts.
• Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular research and in vivo methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biologists, chemists, and SCM to drive project goals.
• Handling & Coordinating with Clients/Sponsor during weekly meetings & provide regular updates of the on-going projects.
• Stay updated with the latest scientific literature and advancements in autoimmune research and pharmacology. Maintain accurate records of experiments and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations.
• Work across in vivo teams in a highly collaborative manner, sharing expertise and resources to meet study needs across In Vivo Pharmacology.
• Provide technical support to senior researchers and assist in troubleshooting experimental issues.
• Conduct literature reviews to stay updated on the latest research developments in the field. Summarize relevant information for the research team.
• Ensure team members comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Interpretation, presentation and documentation of experiments as well as preparation of reports. Written and verbal presentation of results to partners.
• Meticulously demonstrate consistency of high quality in study plan, reports, and related matter.
• Always be aware of study outcome and anticipate problems that may affect timing, quality or integrity, and take appropriate action to resolve problems.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve research objectives. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussion

Project execution support, as required: logical and quick solutions as part of troubleshooting and coordination with CFTs like stores, logistics, engineering & SCM etc.

Documentation: Review of technical and scientific reports, experimental, minutes of the meeting, reagent tracker, Electronic notebook and other miscellaneous documents. Ensure team members record experiments accurately and diligently in lab books and databases to allow efficient query, retrieval and decision making. Adhere to general compliance regulations, policies, and practices (IT/data handling, etc.)

Active participation in all department initiatives, bi-weekly group discussions and monthly seminars.

Team management and development: Guide, train, and support team members to ensure quality work is delivered as planned. Ensure team performs assays according to the standard work protocols. Ensuring proper distribution of tasks and resource utilization.

Identify skills and mentor associates; assign responsibilities and follow up; feedback at regular intervals and maintain a record.

Education & Experience : Ph.D. with 0-1 years or M. Pharm/MSc with more than 6 years experience in cardiovascular & Metabolic models, or a related field.
