Role Description

The
Senior Sales Manager — Enterprise & PSU (BFSI)
will be responsible for driving strategic new business growth by acquiring large enterprise and PSU BFSI customers. The role requires complete ownership of the sales cycle — from opportunity identification to closure — with strong engagement at CXO, IT & business leadership levels. The ideal candidate brings extensive hunting background, domain expertise across private and PSU BFSI, and a proven track record of closing high-value deals and consistently delivering revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic New Business Acquisition (Hunting):

  • Identify, prospect and win new enterprise and PSU BFSI customers.
  • Drive complex sales cycles and position technology solutions to solve industry-specific challenges.
  • Expand presence across Public Sector Banks, Government Financial Institutions, Insurance PSUs and regulated BFSI entities.

Revenue Growth & Target Achievement:

  • Own quarterly and annual revenue targets with predictable pipeline management.
  • Build multi-year relationships to drive recurring and expansion revenue post initial wins.
  • Identify conversion risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure success and profitability.

CXO & Senior Leadership Engagement:

  • Build and influence strong relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Digital Heads, IT & Business Heads in both Private and PSU BFSI.
  • Understand customer priorities and position value-based solutions aligned with modernization, digital transformation and regulatory objectives.
  • Lead solution positioning, PoCs, commercials, contracting and deal negotiations.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Work closely with pre-sales, delivery, marketing, alliances and product teams to strengthen pursuit strategy.
  • Lead RFP/RFI responses for enterprise and PSU deals ensuring compliance and competitive positioning.
  • Share win-loss insights and customer inputs to drive continuous product and business improvements.

Market, PSU Procurement & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Stay updated on BFSI and PSU digital priorities, regulatory mandates and procurement models (e-tendering, GEM, rate contracts, empanelments, etc.).
  • Track competition and leverage organizational differentiators to maximize win probability.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales with strong BFSI and PSU focus.
  • Proven record of hunting and onboarding large private BFSI and PSU BFSI accounts.
  • Experience navigating PSU/government procurement processes, compliance requirements and bidding frameworks.
  • Strong success in managing complex, long sales cycles and high-value opportunities.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong hunting mindset with capability to open doors in private BFSI and PSU BFSI.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and CXO-level stakeholder management.
  • Deep BFSI domain understanding — digital, IT modernization, regulatory and security priorities.
  • Strategic, analytical and execution-driven personality with strong ownership and resilience.

Preferred Attributes

  • Existing CXO and senior-level connects across PSU and private BFSI ecosystem.
  • Experience in solution/consultative/value-based selling models.
  • Ability to lead multi-stakeholder engagements and work independently.
