DBA | NoSQL | Cosmos DB | SQL Server


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize
    relational and NoSQL databases
    across environments.
  • Design and implement
    backup, recovery
    , and
    disaster recovery
    strategies.
  • Monitor and fine-tune database performance, resolving bottlenecks proactively.
  • Collaborate with
    Engineering
    and
    DevOps
    teams on CI/CD and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with
    data governance
    ,
    security
    , and
    regulatory frameworks
    (PCI DSS, SOC 2).
  • Support
    scalability and capacity planning
    for high-volume transactional systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive
    database documentation
    and support incident response.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of
    database administration
    experience.
  • Strong expertise in
    SQL Server
    and
    Cosmos DB
    (or other NoSQL systems).
  • Hands-on experience with
    AWS (RDS, Aurora, Redshift)
    .
  • Proficiency in
    SQL, PL/pgSQL
    , and
    performance tuning
    .
  • Familiar with
    Terraform, CloudFormation
    , and monitoring tools like
    Datadog, Prometheus, Redgate
    .
  • Knowledge of
    data replication, HA configurations
    , and
    security auditing
    .
  • Scripting in
    Python, Bash, or PowerShell
    is a plus.
