SQL Server Database Administrator

Job Description:
- Perform installations, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring, and configuration.
- Define standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.
- Configure database parameters and define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements.
- Design and implement approaches to improve database performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Design, develop, and implement the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Create packages to import and export data from various sources and destinations.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of SSIS and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) jobs and troubleshoot issues. Develop and maintain documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and data lineage.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance issues and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal database performance.
- Develop and optimize complex Transact SQL (T-SQL) queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into SQL Server databases, while ensuring high performance, data accuracy, and data integrity.
- Consult with Solutions Architects, DBAs, Developers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders as required to ensure databases meet business needs.
- Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
