Job Description: Assistant Finance Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in managing organizational cash flow, financial reporting, audits, and compliance. The Assistant Finance Manager will work closely with project heads, senior leadership, and auditors to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.

Qualifications:

Accounts and Operations:

  • Periodic reporting of Management Information System (MIS) and other financial information to the management.
  • Managing organizational cash flow forecasting by partnering with project heads, assessing the financial efficacy of project operations, and establishing finance and administrative systems to support project operations.
  • Regular entries of accounting transactions and maintaining up-to-date books.

Audit:

  • Planning and performing operational and financial audits, developing testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls.
  • Documenting the results of evaluations and developing recommendations and reports based on audits, presenting these ideas to senior management.
  • Managing and handling ongoing communication with external auditors, acting as a single point of contact.
  • Coordinating periodic audit visits and providing necessary information and documentation for timely audit completion.
  • Supporting presentations to the board's finance and audit committee, working closely with the senior leadership team.
  • Continuously reviewing work practices and procedures for better operational efficiency.

Finance, Compliance, and Tax:

  • Preparing and completing compliance requirements, filing various returns and forms under direct and indirect taxes.
  • Monthly GST filings, preparing working and reconciliations required for audit purposes and preparation of financial statements.
  • Managing day-to-day accounting processes such as journal entries, payroll processing and accounting, GST accounting, direct taxes and TDS accounting.
  • Financial reporting including periodic MIS reporting, receivables aging, payables aging, project profitability reports, etc.
  • Preparing complete sets of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, etc.), including consolidation and getting them audited.
  • Filing quarterly TDS Returns (24Q and 26Q).
  • Ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all regulatory requirements, including audits, direct tax returns, indirect tax returns, and company and labor law compliances.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP and other accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced/Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project heads and senior management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
