Duties and responsibilities

  • Office upkeep: Maintain cleanliness in common areas, washrooms, and pantries; dispose of trash and waste; and restock supplies like toilet paper and soap.
  • Hospitality: Serve tea, coffee, and other refreshments to staff and visitors.
  • Errands and logistics: Run errands, collect and deliver mail, packages, and documents to various departments, and handle bank deposits or collections.
  • Administrative support: Assist with basic clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.
  • Inventory management: Monitor and manage the inventory of office supplies, stationery, and pantry items, and report when replenishment is needed.
  • Maintenance coordination: Coordinate with maintenance and repair personnel for office equipment and facilities.
  • Front office support: Greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and take messages when required.
  • Meeting support: Help set up and prepare meeting rooms as needed.

Skills and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is often required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good time management and the ability to work independently.
  • Physically fit to perform manual tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A sense of trustworthiness and professionalism.
