Deputy Manager – Civil – Job Description

Project Planning & Scheduling:

Prepare, review, and monitor project schedules, work plans, and milestones to ensure timely completion.

Site Execution & Supervision:

Oversee civil construction activities, ensuring work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and standards.

Resource Management:

Manage manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and reduce wastage.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Ensure all construction work adheres to quality standards, safety norms, and statutory requirements.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination:

Manage contractors, monitor their performance, certify work completion, and ensure timely delivery.

BOQ & Cost Management:

Review BOQ, verify quantities, monitor project budgets, and control cost overruns.

Drawing & Documentation Review:

Interpret civil drawings, monitor revisions, coordinate with design teams, and maintain proper documentation.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting:

Track daily/weekly progress and share MIS, DPR/WPR reports with management.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution:

Identify site challenges, propose corrective actions, and ensure minimal impact on timelines.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Act as a point of contact with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Timely Project Delivery:

Achieving project milestones and ensuring zero delays in civil works.

Quality Compliance:

Maintaining 100% adherence to quality standards and reducing rework.

Cost Control:

Managing project within approved budgets and reducing cost deviations.

Safety Performance:

Ensuring zero safety violations and implementing safety protocols at site.

Contractor Productivity:

Improving efficiency and performance of vendors/contractors.
