About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Design Engineer
specializing in
Plumbing / Public Health Engineering (PHE)
for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will lead and manage all aspects of plumbing system design while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Technical Manager on all design matters
  • Lead plumbing/PHE design efforts for major building projects
  • Supervise and guide junior engineers and technicians
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and internal processes
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews
  • Maintain accurate and complete project documentation

Technical Responsibilities

  • Water demand calculation
  • Design of hot & cold water systems including circulation, pumps, valves, and pipe sizing
  • Drainage system design (gravity and pumped solutions)
  • Hot water system design: pipe sizing, flow/pressure calculations, heat exchangers, mixing loops, material selection
  • Cold water system design: distribution layout, pump selection, insulation, control valves
  • Solar water heating system design
  • Fire protection system design: sprinklers, fire hose reels, wet & dry risers
  • Water purification systems: filtration, softening, chlorination
  • Grey/black water recycling systems
  • Borewell/borehole water system design

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8–10 years of experience in building services design, specifically plumbing and PHE
  • Strong knowledge of Indian and international standards (e.g., NBC, IS, IPC, NFPA)
  • Experience in Fire Protection and Detection System design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills
