Key Responsibilities: Technical Publication

  • Understand the product and its functionalities.
  • Collect the inputs like product specifications, engineering data.
  • Understand the product and customer requirements thoroughly.
  • Study the inputs and make estimation WBS wise.
  • Planning the publication plan like table of contents and schedule.
  • Authoring the document in compliance with industry standards of various geographies.
  • Comply with internal quality checklists and process documents Develop the technical document for the product considering operating procedures, components and systems, safety and environment factors etc.
  • Participate in customer calls/meetings wherever involved in understanding the product/project requirements thoroughly.

Tools:

  • MS Office Tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Authoring: Adobe In-Design, MS-Word, Frame Maker, PTC Arbotext Editor
  • Illustrations: Any CAD Tool, DWG TrueView
  • Detailing and Editing: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Snag IT, Coral Draw / Isodraw, Snipping Tool

Skills:

  • Ability to write the manuals in STE (Simplified Technical English)
  • Capable of working on various document categories like Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Product Catalogues, Specifications Sheets, Training Manuals, Assembly Instructions etc.
  • Developing good working relationships with the team and inter multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Collaborative and supportive on knowledge sharing with the team members
  • Excellent communication skills
