Senior QA Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the QA team, setting up quick and efficient QA processes to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to maximize test coverage.
  • Perform manual testing when required, ensuring functional, regression, and exploratory test coverage.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and cross-border teams (Israel, India, Nepal) to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues.
  • Analyze test results, report defects, and track them to closure with clear documentation.
  • Maintain, optimize, and scale automation frameworks for long-term reusability and efficiency.
  • Drive adherence to QA best practices, processes, and quality standards across projects.
  • Mentor, guide, and review work of junior QA engineers to uplift overall team capability.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (manual + automation).
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in test automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience leading QA efforts, establishing efficient QA processes, and improving quality metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, regression cycles, and defect life cycle.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
  • Hands-on experience in testing e-commerce platforms, including storefront, checkout, payments, and integrations.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, or similar).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent).
  • Basic scripting/programming skills in JavaScript or similar.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing solutions (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
