HRIS Data Integration & Reporting Expert - SAP BW
The HRIS Data Integration & Reporting Expert SAP BW is responsible for managing and optimizing the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) environment in connection with the on-premise SAP HR system. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and scalability of HR reporting and analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the role includes the coordination of two offshore resources focused on ticket resolution and minor technical enhancements. The expert also plays a key role in integrating SAP BW data into broader enterprise platforms, such as the global HR data lake, ensuring consistent and high-quality data delivery across systems.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SAP BW Management
- Maintain and enhance the SAP BW environment, including data models, InfoProviders, and queries.
- Ensure optimal performance of data loads and reporting processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot BW process chains and data flows.
Integration with SAP HR
- Manage data extraction from the on-premise SAP HR system to SAP BW.
- Ensure accurate and timely availability of HR data for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with HR functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Data Integration & Distribution
- Support the integration of SAP BW data into external systems, including the global HR data lake.
- Ensure data consistency, quality, and compliance across platforms.
- Collaborate with enterprise data teams to align on data architecture and governance.
Team Coordination
- Provide functional leadership to two offshore resources handling support tickets and small-scale technical enhancements.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and implementation of minor changes.
- Review and validate deliverables from offshore team members to maintain quality standards.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc HR reports using SAP BW tools.
- Support business users in accessing and interpreting HR data.
Technical Governance & Support
- Document data models, interfaces, and reporting logic.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders.

3.2 TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Proven experience with SAP BW (classic and/or BW/4HANA).
- Strong understanding of SAP HR data structures and processes.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) in SAP environments.
- Familiarity with ABAP for data source enhancements and debugging.
- Experience in integrating SAP BW data with external platforms (e.g., Azure data lakes).
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and PowerBI is an asset.
Knowledge of data privacy and compliance requirements in HR contexts.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP BW and SAP HR environments.
- Experience in managing or coordinating offshore technical teams.
- Fluent in English.
