Paint and Formulation Development
- Preparation and optimization of paint formulations (interior/exterior emulsions, primers,
distempers, enamels, etc.).
- Conduct lab-scale trials to evaluate performance attributes like coverage, viscosity, gloss, adhesion,
scrub resistance, etc.
- Record experimental observations and help refine formulations.
Raw Material Evaluation
- Test new or alternate raw materials for compatibility and performance.
- Maintain raw material master data, including technical specifications and COAs.
- Support in cost optimization by suggesting and testing substitutes.
Product Testing, complaint assessment and Benchmarking
- Conduct routine and non-routine testing of in-process, finished, and competitor products using
standard test methods (IS, ASTM, BIS).
- Maintain calibration and proper use of lab instruments such as viscometers, gloss meters,
spectrophotometers, etc.
- Support in resolving customer complaints related to products
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate lab notebooks, test records, and formulation files.
- Prepare technical reports, product data sheets, and safety instructions.
- Follow lab safety protocols and assist in audits and certifications.
Plant and Scale Up Support
- Support plant trials and scale-up of lab formulations.

- Coordinate with production and QC teams to ensure product consistency.
