Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze technical customer inquiries.
- Function as the Single point of contact with regular communications with customers from Inquiry to Order remittance.
- Prepare commercial offers using globally defined tools and adhere to standard services quoting processes.
- Resolve and manage customer needs consulting with respective support services like Parts Engineering, design authority, Supply chain and warehouse /logistics team.
- The individual need to understand technical workings, conditions of use, specifications etc. and is expected to define customer approach autonomously.
- Will be responsible for all aspects of contract management, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, transactional pricing, customer communications and issue resolution
- Receive, analyze, and record customer orders with diligence to GE's T&Cs and have required updates provided to customers on their orders.
- Practice a Lean mindset and encourage the colleagues adhere to established parts processes.
- Interface with the Region Sales teams to develop commercial strategies and solutions that will meet customer requirements as well as meet or exceed business goals
- Coordinate the output of proposals to insure the production schedule dates are met and that a quality proposal is issued to the customer
- Meet order budget, proposal timeliness, cycle time, win Rate, and profitability
- Develop appropriate Terms and Conditions for standard Customer proposals based on Risk / Reward Analysis
- Drive continuous improvement through strong ITO / OTR feedback mechanisms, competitive benchmarking and commercial innovations
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding..
- Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical) from an accredited university or college with 3 -5 years of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge on Industrial Drive systems, PLC Systems, Switchgears, MV Motors or MV Generator etc.
- Excellence in Customer Service with fair amount of commercial awareness for international clients
- Strong financial analysis and execution skills
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
