Job Title: Assistant Professor Computer Science

Job Summary

The Assistant Professor Computer Science is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, conducting academic research, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in departmental and institutional activities. The role requires strong subject knowledge, teaching skills, and a commitment to academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

  • Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Computer Science as assigned.
  • Prepare lesson plans, course materials, presentations, and assessments.
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, labs, and seminars effectively.
  • Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, projects, and practicals.
  • Mentor and guide students in academic and career-related matters.

Curriculum & Academic Development

  • Assist in syllabus design, curriculum updates, and course outcomes as per university norms.
  • Develop innovative teaching methodologies and use ICT tools.
  • Participate in academic audits, accreditation processes, and quality assurance activities.

Research & Professional Development

  • Conduct research in relevant areas of Computer Science.
  • Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
  • Apply for research grants and funding (where applicable).
  • Attend and contribute to workshops, seminars, FDPs, and conferences.

Administrative & Institutional Duties

  • Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
  • Support examination work, admissions, and academic coordination.
  • Assist in organizing academic events, workshops, hackathons, and conferences.
  • Follow institutional policies and academic regulations.
