A Senior Sales Executive develops and implements sales strategies to increase revenue, manages client relationships, and analyzes market trends. They lead and mentor sales teams, set targets, and close deals, while also providing market feedback to management. This role requires strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills. Key responsibilities

  • Strategy and planning: Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed organizational and revenue targets.
  • Business development: Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and research, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients by providing support and recommending solutions.
  • Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a sales team, answering technical questions, teaching improved processes, and ensuring they meet their goals.
  • Performance analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, provide accurate sales forecasts, and report on results to senior management.
  • Market and competitor analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform sales strategies and product improvements.
  • Contract negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profits and secure new business.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably with leadership or management experience.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business or Marketing is often preferred.
