Senior Group Manager (AVP) Operational Risk Management (Corp Risk Team) is responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the organization's business processes. This role involves evaluating potential risks arising from process inefficiencies, internal control gaps, and organizational challenges, and recommending effective risk mitigation strategies. The incumbent will play a key role in strengthening the company's risk culture and ensuring robust operational resilience.

Location : Mumbai

Team Span : 4-5 FTE's

Geo Support : Global Support (US, Aus, EMEA, APAC etc)

General Shift : Flexibility required basis the region support)

Travel Requirement: ~30-60 days a year (Domestic & International) Basis business need

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational risk assessments across business units to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Design and implement risk control frameworks to prevent, eliminate, and mitigate operational risks.
  • Monitor and track operational risk issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to conduct periodic risk reviews and present risk status reports.
  • Define, implement, and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to measure and manage operational risk exposure.
  • Stay updated on emerging risk trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.
  • Supervise and guide the risk management team to ensure structured and timely execution of risk assessments.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in operational risk practices.

Academic Qualification:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a recognized institution.

Professional Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of post-qualification experience in risk management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to make sound judgments and decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including report writing and presentation capabilities.
