Role & responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end PR to PO conversion in SAP and Ariba ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and manage PO acknowledgements from suppliers, follow up on unacknowledged POs.
  • Track and resolve open and aged POs, identifying bottlenecks or discrepancies in the system.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal procurement policies and audit standards.
  • Build professional relationship between requisitioners, buyers, and suppliers to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Update and maintain procurement trackers, dashboards, and status reports.

System Expertise:

  • SAP (Materials Management Module) and Ariba (Buying & Invoicing, Sourcing, or P2P modules) for all procurement transactions and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to PR/PO transactions in collaboration with IT or systems support teams.
  • Contribute to system enhancements, testing, and upgrades from a user perspective.

Process Leadership

  • Lead daily/weekly procurement operations meetings, monitor KPIs and SLA adherence.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive standardization across teams or regions.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior analysts or new team members.
  • Act as escalation point for unresolved PR/PO issues and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Procurement Knowledge

End-to-end understanding of PR to PO cycle, procurement policies

Systems Expertise

Proficient in SAP MM and Ariba (P2P, B&I modules preferred)

Analytical Skills

Ability to analyze PO status, identify root causes, and drive resolution

Communication Skills

Clear written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders

Attention to Detail

High accuracy in data entry and document handling

Process Orientation

Familiar with standard operating procedures, SLAs, and controls

Problem Solving

Proactive in identifying process gaps and proposing solutions

Team Collaboration

Ability to work cross-functionally with sourcing, finance, and suppliers

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree/ Masters, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP MM and Ariba is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of procurement compliance and controls
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, Power BI or analytics tools is a plus.
  • 5 to 7+ years (Process Lead) of experience in procurement operations or S2P.
  • Fast-paced global procurement environment.
  • Eastern Standard Time: 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM
  • Hybrid work model: 4 days Work from Office (WFO) and 1 day Work from Home (WFH) per week
